About us

Delivering personalised service on a large scale for over 30 years

The company was founded by Directors Ray Moodie and Andy Bridges, who both brought with them extensive experience of works within the public, commercial/banking and industrial sectors.

After establishing the company, the formative years were based around small residential and Local Authority works before being invited into the hotel and leisure sector by the Accor Group. Soon after we undertook the "live" refurbishment of the flagship 600-bed Novotel in Hammersmith West London and it was the success of this project that allowed us to progress onto many new 'design & build' hotel projects for the group. To date we have completed some 35 new hotels, enabling us to form solid professional relationships with a number of prestigious main contractors for whom we have worked. 

As a result of this we were fortunate to be able to build on this reputation and to expand our hotel portfolio outside the Accor Group, carrying out projects such as the prestigious 528 guest bedroom Mint Hotel (now Doubletree by Hilton) at the Tower of London for the City Inn Hotel Group, the Ramada Heathrow for the Ramada Hotels Group and the 5-star Laslett hotel in Notting Hill for the prestigious Living Rooms Group. 
Whilst we have become highly specialised within the hotel sector we would like to highlight that we continued to undertake other works within other construction sectors, and over the last 5 years have undertaken a number of prestigious high-volume multi-dwelling projects within the growing residential sector, for a number of main contractors. 

This wealth of experience allows us to assist clients in many ways, such as guidance during design stages, carrying out value engineering exercises and on-going advice on working & design practices during construction phases. Indeed, the relationship that we formed with the Accor Group resulted in our electrical design being utilised and incorporated as their standard model across their UK brands. 

Whilst we have been established for over 30 years, we prefer the to maintain a personal relationship on projects, electing to maintain a small core of resources that can be expanded in line with workloads presented at any given time. We currently handle up to 5 projects simultaneously utilising the aforementioned pool of resources and are eager to maintain this momentum, with a view to hopefully working with yourselves in the future.

Personnel

We employ a core of up to 15 staff on a permanent basis, including: Engineers, Contracts Managers, Foreman Site Managers, Approved Electricians and Administration Personnel, with the number of directly employed staff increasing as necessary dependent upon the type and location of the ongoing projects. 

Generally, where projects are carried out in London & the South East, our labour will be employed directly. For projects outside these areas it is usual to resource labour on a sub-contract basis utilising our long-established association with our Midlands-based partner Tony Ward of Keswick Electrical, who specialise in providing our site management and procurement services. 

When working at full capacity we would expect to employ around 50 operatives both directly and on a sub-contract basis.

Health & Safety

We are very proud to advise you that we have had no reportable accidents since our inception in 1986 and are happy to refer you to any of our main contractor clients for references regarding our Health and Safety record and practices. 

We support each project with a project specific Health & Safety plan and our Contracts Managers and Site Foremen are all IOSH safety certificated, time served and extremely experienced in their particular field.
